Appila Springs is a scenic and tranquil site located 8km North-East of Appila. The natural spring is home to native plant and animal species making it a perfect spot to go for a walk, take a picnic and go for a swim when it’s warm. 

In the late 1800’s, Appila Spring was primarily used to water stock that was being transported to local markets in Jamestown and Gladstone. For the environmental enthusiasts, take time to read the fascinating educational display boards!

The location doubles as a camping ground outside of the November - April fire-ban season so, bring a tent and some firewood and take in this peaceful, hidden part of nature that you don’t want to miss!
